Canada has among the strictest standards in the world for oyster farming, processing, and distribution. We don’t just meet these standards; we work with our neighbours, and federal and provincial entities to keep raising the bar. Our buyers and water workers acquire the area's best Oyster seed from licensed seed collectors and set them in our leases.

Each of Rodney's Oyster Depot’s 50 plots are monitored through GPS coordinates where growth, shape, mortality and meat index will be recorded for each site and then extrapolated to give us the data for all Oysters on the plot. In addition to this information, we have all the background data such as source, size at planting, date planted, etc. This makes for an extremely efficient inventory control, and allows us to generate instant reports to respond to clients and government agencies alike.
